How did the Nazi occupation authorities affect the curriculum presented in schools?

I’m asking in memory of my grandfather, who spoke of being in class, but never of how the Nazis might have tried to change things.

There were major changes to the way History, Science, and general civics were taught. Nazi racial theories suddenly were taught, and events like the French Revolution were presented as terrible calamities, and, of course, the Nazis blamed the French Revolution on the Jews. Countries like France were now presented as wayward “Aryans” who were being returned to their natural states by the German occupiers.

Science became filled with Nazi racial jargon. Talented students were even considered candidates for recruitment into the SS and other Nazi organizations.

There were many other changes too.
