In what time period are you thinking about in this question?

After the war declaration for the most part they didn’t because they couldn’t, that’s why the colony collapsed so quickly save for some good defensive spots like Gondar. There were a few secret missions flown from Lybia across the desert and unconfirmed Japanese submarine resupply missions after the general surrender but that’s about it.
