I have seen history documentaries that contextualize the Wehrmacht nearly taking Moscow and Stalingrad as if conquering those cities would have knocked the Red Army out of the war. I am guessing, you would disagree. What are your thoughts on what it would have taken for the Germans to have effectively closed the Eastern front/subjugated the Soviet Union? Do you know what Hitler would have considered as an ultimate victory over the Soviets, and what his plans might have been from there?
