From BE2C pilot in WW1 to head of Bomber Command Air Marshall Harris interview

Hi,
This interview is quite interesting and might be perceived as controversial. He started flying with the humble BE2C squadron which shot down the first Zeppelin. Not sure if anyone here was at the Great War 1917 meet-up in Essex to see the BE2C in flight.

Well have fun (or not) watching.

Just finished this. I was fascinated by the discussion. So much to unpack but the first thing I noticed was all they had to go on were the photos. Real bomb damage assessment did not come until after the war.

The amount of effort the Germans put into stopping bombing was a big drain on the war effort. Speer said over a million healthy men unable to be at the front and 50% of the anti tank guns were unavailable being used as AA. It was also a huge drain on the front line Luftwaffe capabilities.

Highly recommend this.
