French negotiations with Indo-Chinese
Cabinet considers progress
PARIS (Feb. 19) – Great reserve is being maintained here on reported negotiations between the Viet Minh (Indo-Chinese Nationalist Party) and the French authorities which are stated to have been the topic of discussion at today’s Cabinet meeting.
The Minister of Colonies, M. Marius Moutet, who gave a review of the situation is known to be well disposed to Indo-Chinese Nationalist aspirations.
The Paris Radio today reported that Admiral Thierry Dargenlieu, High Commissioner for French Indo-China, who arrived in Paris today, said that the situation in Indo-China was satisfactory.
