Were there any famous Soviet cavalry operations in WW2? I know that there were some capable commanders of the cavalry such as Pavel Belov and Lev Dovator, who even managed to repel Heinz Guderian’s panzer divisions on the western front of Moscow, but I can’t seem to find much information on the internet.

I don’t know much about Soviet Cavalry, but I know there were Italian cavalry charges on the Eastern Front that were successful against Soviet troops and tanks
