Browder withdraws from radio debate
New York (UP) –
Earl Browder, president of the Communist Political Association, today withdrew from a radio debate with George E. Sokolsky, New York Sun columnist, scheduled for next Sunday, with the comment that he would not appear “due to conditions beyond my control.”
Browder was to have taken the negative on the question “Can Peace Be Won Without Roosevelt?” in the Wake Up, America! Forum sponsored by the American Economic Foundation.
