WILLKIE IS ‘GREEN,’ PINCHOT BELIEVES
New York, Oct. 26 (UP) –

Gifford Pinchot, former Republican Governor of Pennsylvania, said in a radio speech last night that Wendell L. Willkie was incompetent to guide the nation through the critical four years ahead and that he favored President Roosevelt’s re-election.

He spoke under the sponsorship of Republicans for the re-election of Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Mr. Willkie is called a businessman. Some people believe that because a man has run a business…he is fit to run the government… Business and government are no more alike than getting and giving. The purpose of business is private profit; the purpose of government is public service.
