NEW YORK TO EXTEND HOURS OF VOTING
Albany, Oct. 19 (UP) –

Governor Herbert Lehman today order session of the Legislature on Tuesday, October 22, to extend the hours of voting throughout the state because of the “tremendous increase in registration for the November elections.”

The Board of Elections of the City of New York said registration in New York City was 3,391,238, which exceeded by 492,370 the previous highest registration.
