MORE EGGS HURLED AT WILLKIE’S AUTO
Evansville, Ind., Oct. 17 (UP) –

Two eggs were hurled at Republican presidential nominee Wendell L. Willkie as he drove down lines of applauding thousands on Evansville’s main street today. Both missed.

One went over Mr. Willkie’s car and landed about six feet from the candidate. The second landed about two feet in front of the Willkie auto.

As the candidate reached the A. D. Burch Plow Works, a dozen men set up a deafening clamor by beating hammers on steel plowshares. Mr. Willkie shook hands with them.
