BROWDER, BENNY, BURNS LOSE VOTING FRANCHISE
New York, Oct. 12 –

Earl Browder, Communist presidential candidate, and George Burns and Jack Benny, radio and movie comedians, have lost their right to vote in this state, Attorney General John J. Bennett has said in an “informal” opinion. Browder, he said, lost his franchise because he was found guilty of passport fraud, Benny and Burns because they were convicted of diamond smuggling.
