Did the French Resistance Make Bombs from Exploding Champagne?

I heard a rumor once that the French Resistance would offer champagne to Nazis because the champagne would over-ferment, causing the bottles to explode. Are there historical accounts of this happening?

I found this article about the theoretical weapon itself, but it says nothing about any use in WW2.

Never heard of it. I don’t see how or why. That’s just a prank?

People would often hide their wine from the germans or sell them on the black market.
