Dear Indy and crew,
Did the maginot line and/or the Sere la Rivière system see any use during the war? I know that there were some light skirmishes before France fell, though I would think that with the ammount of fortifications left that either there would be pockets of French resistance before or after the surrender, or maybe the Germans took up residence in the area. Either way, the sheer amount of fortification even surrounding Verdun would have slowed the Germans down for days, if not weeks.
