Did the death of Fritz Todt and the appointment of Albert Speer create a gameganger?

Albert Speer created a major underground slave labour economy but did he use slave labour in a same way that Todt would have done?
It still baffles me how Speer got away with his atrocious warcrimes and was labelled as ‘the good Nazi’

You are so right Harry, Speer somehow was able to fool the tribunal. I’m not sure how they missed his early Nazi Party Membership or believed his ‘I was advised by a friend, the camps are bad and should very go there’ …BS.

Lets insert ‘never’ in place of ‘very’.

Yeah, too many got away, it is really astounding how naive they were but possibly there was a lot of political pressure.

Would it have been much different if Todt himself remained the head of his organisation? He mostly used labourers from Kraft durch Freude and Polish and later Russian pow’s whereas Speer almost immediately resorted to using slave labour from KZ
