Since the Germans had the realistic possibility of reaching the oilfields of Maikop and Grozny, but no realistic chance of reaching Baku in 1942, did Germany have it’s own plans to destroy the oilfields of Baku with an air attack?
Could the captured information about British/French plans for attacking Baku have been useful to the Germans?
The British and French conclusion was that it was possible to set the whole of Baku ablaze. What did the Germans think about that?
