Could Japan have used Japanese knotweed as a weapon to sabotage foodproduction of it’s enemies?
Japanese knotweed is nowadays a big problem in many countries. Britain is now even importing natural enemies of this plant to fight against it. Probably the Japanese government had no idea how much of a problem that plant could be for countries where (contrary to Japan) it has no natural enemies.

Japan had a goverment with close connection to the armed forces, so I dont think a suggestion of a plant weapon would fit to their way of thinking. :cactus::deciduous_tree::shamrock:
