I understand that Hitler declared war on the US because Japan had attacked us and declared war on us. My question is: Was it possible for Hitler to NOT declare war on the United States? If he hadn’t then Roosevelt wouldn’t have been able to declare war on Germany and send troops to Europe. We’d have been restricted to a war in the Pacific only.
