Concerning UN forces who were under American command why were they better prepared than their American counterparts for combat?

Canadian, British, Australian and Turkish forces who were under American command seemed to be better trained and suffered considerably less casualties than their American counterparts. Americans like to use overwhelming force and air superiority while the afore mentioned commonwealth and Turkish forces spent weeks ahead of deployment learning mountain combat and how to use artillery effectively so why weren’t American forces doing similar training?

Wel that wasn’t always true, for example the Ethiopian Kagnew Battalions would have to be trained by the Americans in modern basic combat training before seeing combat under American command. Although the Ethiopians would do very well in the war, they were not necessarily “better prepared” for the war while under American command.
