Here’s my pitch for a special bio topic or a least a feature in another episode along the way. Lee Miller, the American photographer who switched from Vogue fashion photographer to war correspondent. After the hostilities, I heard she posed for a bathtub pic of herself in Hitler’s Munich apartment. Wow! She seems like your kind of gal! Maybe Astrid could recreate it!

In any case, a piece on Miller would be a great counterweight to the excellent piece on Leni Riefenstahl.

Another American woman photographer I want to see them cover is Margaret Bourke-White. She’s already quite well-known by 1942, having photographed wartime Moscow in 1941.

Also, spoilers! I know she photographed the Blitz by this point, but Miller wouldn’t be accredited with the Army until the end of this year! :stuck_out_tongue:
