I’m watching this documentary that’s supposed to be a companion to a book entitled “Three Days at the Brink”, and I can’t help but notice that the discussion of the assassination attempt on FDR before the Tehran Conference ignores an enormous detail: Henry Wallace. It is generally acknowledged by historians that Henry Wallace, FDR’s vice president at the time, was a Soviet sympathizer. Stalin would have had a lot to gain from FDR’s death since Henry Wallace would have become president with wartime powers. I think it’s somewhat academically irresponsible not to at least mention this.

I am a Mr. Beat fan, but I cringe every time he mentions Henry Wallace as being great (even put him as No. 1 in his Best Vice Presidents list).
