Here you can watch and listen to Polish Auschwitz Extermination Camp survivor and his short opinion/testimony about the camp’s history. I will leave it to your own interpretation. I’m truly curious what do you think about this, guys.

Edit: Aaaand I messed something up. Still you can click on this link to wach it. I thought it is possible to open a player here.

Well my first thought would be that Auschwitz was an absolutely huge complex of camps and factories and it’s possible that he was in a part of the system that was for Poles, not for Jews.

I think you can also set his testimony alongside the testimony of many Jews that were also there, as well as a huge amount of other evidence for the Holocaust.

A few further thoughts. Most of what he’s saying is broadly in line with the historical record.

Birkenau was the main camp in the Auschwitz-Birkaneu system and it is where the majority of the killings took place. Without knowing more about this guy’s story, it’s hard to know what he’s basing his claim on, but if he was in a different part of the camp system, it’s entirely possible he didn’t see a large number of Jews being killed.

I think his main point is that until mid to late 1942 there weren’t many Jews in concentration camps as the Endlösung der Judenfrage - The final solution of Jewish case wasn’t created until the Wannsee Conference on January 20, 1942. Before this conference, most Jews were held in ghettos.

That’s how I understand what he’s saying. Although I have an advantage as I speak Polish.
