Mme. Alla Nazimova’s funeral to be private

HOLLYWOOD, California (UP) – Mme. Alla Nazimova, whose death has ended a 40-year career as a stage and screen great on three continents, will be buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, probably Tuesday.

The 66-year-old star died yesterday of a heart ailment at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Val Lewton, her nephew and associate producer at RKO Studios, said funeral services would be private. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Nina Lewton, and a niece, Lucy Lewton of Montclair, New Jersey.

The Russian-born actress was married only once, to Charles Bryant, now a New York stage actor. She divorced Bryant in Paris in 1925, two years before she became an American citizen.

In recent years, she had played only occasional motion picture roles.
