250,000 G.I.’s in Europe score 85 – more likely

SHAEF, Paris (AP) – Around 250,000 American soldiers in the European theater have adjusted service scores of 85 or more and are eligible for discharge under the interim rating, Brig. Gen. Ralph B. Lovett, adjutant general, said Friday.

The number will be increased substantially when new campaign stars for the Ardennes and Central Europe campaigns are awarded, he said.
