‘Saves us trouble,’ Canadian thinks
WITH THE FIRST CANADIAN ARMY, Germany (UP) – A Canadian soldier, hearing of Adolf Hitler’s reported death, said, “It saves us a lot of trouble.”
Another Canadian trooper said the event was “too sudden. It deprived us of the joy of hearing that we hanged him.”
