Women’s Naval Reserve bill sent to conference

Washington – (July 14)
The House today sent to conference legislation creating a Women’s Naval Auxiliary Reserve.

Differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill are minor. Chairman Carl Vinson (D-GA) of the Naval Affairs Committee asked for a conference when Rep. Beverly M. Vincent (D-KY) objected to unanimous agreement to the Senate amendments.
