Allied bombers hit Japs on Timor Isle

General MacArthur’s Headquarters, Australia (UP) –
Allied planes obtained direct hits on numerous buildings in a raid on the Jap barracks area at Dili in the Portuguese area of Timor Island northwest of Australia, a United Nations communiqué said today.

Otherwise, it added, there was only reconnaissance activity.
