U.S. forces to be withdrawn from China
SAN FRANCISCO (Domei) – Lieut. General Wedemeyer, commander of the U.S. forces in China, is reported to have said that the American Expeditionary Forces will have been withdrawn from China by next Spring, as soon as shipping space is available.

YOKOSUKA (Domei, Aug. 30) – Rear Admiral Oscar Badger, Commander of the United States 31st Task Force, arrived in Yokosuka Naval Base at 10 o’clock this morning aboard his flagship San Diego.

BOSTON (Domei) – Gen. MacArthur’s Headquarters which has hitherto been located at the Grand Hotel, Yokohama, has moved to the former American Embassy in Tokyo.

LONDON, 31. August (OWI) – Aus Berlin wird berichtet, dass sich Martin Bormann, Hitlers Stellvertreter, der als Kriegsverbrecher angeklagt ist, in den Händen der Alliierten befindet. Eine ausführliche Feststellung wurde nicht gemacht.
Accord sur Tanger
L’accord sur l’administration provisoire de Tanger a été signé hier après-midi à Paris après trois semaines de discussions entre les représentants britanniques, américains, russes et français. Il doit être communiqué au gouvernement espagnol, non pour approbation mais pour qu’il en prenne connaissance. Les termes en seront publiés d’ici quelques jours.
