The Veterans Bureau paid out $240 during the past fiscal year to Esther Ann Hill Morgan, Independence, Oregon, daughter of the former Private John Hill of the New York Militia, according to a report to Congress.

The 130 widows of veterans of the Mexican War, which ended in 1848, received $84,613 during fiscal 1940.

Acording to Find A Grave, Mrs. Morgan died on March 12, 1946, so I assume the pension is no longer being paid out.
