Howdy from the armpit of Texas, aka Wichita Falls, my hometown and the second biggest Black Hole in the Galaxy next to the one at the center of the Milky Way! I have had a love for History since elementary having two Grandfathers that both served in WW2, one in Europe in the Army and one in the Pacific in the Navy, the former having served with Patton and earning the Bronze Star. I earned a BA in History from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls in 1990, where I also began work on my MA, which I later completed at Texas Woman’s University earning a non-thesis MA in History. In the late 70’s my Public Television station In Dallas ran the classic Thames Television series “The World at War” and it was this series that sparked a lifelong love of History, especially military History and most especially WW2 History. I discovered the Great War series on YouTube about 9 months ago and was TOTALLY blown away by Indy and Team in the detail and presentation of the series. I then moved on and binged watched Between Two Wars and now finally WW2. I have never joined or subscribed to anything on YouTube but finally felt so compelled and honestly so guilty for mooching for almost a year that I finally came clean and joined at the Captain’s rank to atone for my sins, but in my opinion it is WELL worth a paltry $25 a month for the awesome work that this channel is doing.
