Family with a long military tradition, though I did not serve. My Father and Mother’s older brother were both Tuskegee Airmen. My Father’s brothers also served in WWII, James in the 320 VLA at Omaha, and Jay in the Navy Seebees for most of the war and after. G-G-Grandfather was Capt. Paul Whipple, Company K, 7th New Hampshire Volunteers. Served the entire war. Wounded at Fort Wagner and captured the final works at Fort Fisher. And lots of others ancestors.
